Timber Frame | Post & Beam | SIPs Homes

Timber Frame Custom Home Packages

Trinity Building Systems Timber Frame structures are timeless and decorative. We utilize Doug Fir, #1 grade,  kiln-dried, free of heart center timbers for both the horizontal beams and vertical posts of the structure to ensure maximum structural integrity and a timeless look and feel for your home.

The joinery utilized in our Timber Frame building style is what sets us apart from the rest. Every timber element is custom designed and hand-finished with mortise and tenon joinery specific to your project.

When working with a luxury home designer, you can specify the truss-style you would like to use throughout openings, entryways, and vaulted rooms within your structure. You can also specify where you would like to focus on the use of timber elements to help minimize cost—avoiding the use of timber elements in locations such as the bathroom or closet.

All timber frame custom home material packages will include SIPs for exterior wall and roof paneling.

Timber frame posts and beams add structural integrity and unique aesthetic to this Tmodern mountain style home by Trinity Building Systems.

Post & Beam Custom Home Packages

The Trinity Building Systems post and beam building style is for those who want to incorporate a little modern aesthetic and unique joinery into their timber built home.

We utilize Doug Fir, #1 grade,  kiln-dried, free of heart center timbers for both the horizontal beams and vertical posts of the structure to ensure maximum structural integrity and a timeless look and feel.

The joinery components used in our Post and Beam style structures are primarily black powder-coated steel.  The steel components are used to mount together the timber system designed for your home.

Our Post and Beam building style appeals to many because of its affordability compared to true mortise and tenon timber framing or log components. Throughout the structure, we use the same timbers but replace the hand-cut mortise and tenon finishes with steel to help save on labor.

All post and beam material packages will include SIPs for exterior wall and roof paneling.

So, whether it’s the aesthetic aspects of post and beam architecture or the cost savings associated, it is one luxury building style we encourage everyone to look into.

SIPs Home Packages

SIPs only homes are Trinity Building Systems alternative to conventionally framed homes. Helping minimize 2x stick construction for a more streamlined and efficient assembly.

In a typical log or timber frame home, the timbers act as a skeletal support system for the SIP panels and take on most of the structure’s vertical load.

When we remove the timber elements, column posting is factored into the SIPs to help carry header and gable loads down to the structure’s foundation. Helping to minimize the amount of 2x studs factored into each wall compared to a conventionally framed home.

So, what you’re getting in a SIPs only build is increased energy efficiency, streamlined assembly, and minimized waste. The timeless and rustically designed aesthetics of the timber frame, post and beam, and log home styles can be factored into the structure with an increased cost.

Therefore, if streamlined assembly and cost savings are your top priorities, we recommend you choose a SIPs only building style for the custom home of your dreams. Helping save you money on labor, lumber, and waste!
